Suzette Jackson is an artist and designer working on the surf coast on Victoria’s Great Ocean Road. Her arts practice spans ceramics, painting and printmaking, with a strong focus on form and texture, earth-based materials and salvaged objects, grounded in design practices and ecological studies.
As an experienced designer, Suzette brings a nature based approach to her art. She is passionate about creating work that is beautifully designed, thoughtfully made, using responsible materials.
Growing up around the Victorian volcanic plains and coastlines has shaped Suzette’s deep connection to place and community. These landscapes continue to influence her work, reflecting the land she lives on and the delicate balance of natural systems.
Whether in her own studio, working with visiting artists, or guiding art residencies, natural and salvaged materials, provide inspiration to Suzette’s art work. Through her travels she is constantly developing her arts practice, researching and exploring techniques and practices.
Suzette Jackson Studio offer a range of workshops located at Noonyara Retreat. These workshops share art practices, design skills and knowledge while encouraging sustainable arts practices.
